Since Lake Nakuru is close to Nairobi, it can be visited for either a day or for an overnight stay. It is situated only 170 km from the city. The lake is alkaline and very shallow, hence attracting millions of flamingos and other types of water birds.

Hell's Gate is a very special national park in Kenya as you can cycle or walk inside the park. Trekking in the gorges normally takes 2 to 3 hours depending on the distance you want to cover. The park is very close to Nairobi and visitors with few hours to spare can take a quick trip to this park.

If you are planning an excellent short wildlife safari in Kenya, then Masai Mara is the only place for you to be. It is a world-renowned national reserve because of the migration of the wildebeest and within a short trip you will be able to see many animals including the 'Big Five': lions, rhinos, elephants, buffalos and leopards.

This is a very special national park because you can choose to walk, cycle or drive inside the park as you see different types of animals. Normally people come to this park to hike and trek inside the gorges, which takes 2 to 3 hours.

While in Nairobi you can do a full day excursion to visit several of the main Nairobi tourist attractions. Since all these places are located close together, you will have flexibility to choose which landmarks you would like to see.
